SUPER SHORTS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL IS OVER FOR ANOTHER YEAR

SUPER SHORTS 2008
The 'Super Shorts International Film Festival 2008' was held between 1st - 6th July in Central London. The festival was a great success and included screenings, competitions, panel events, Q&As and much more! As always with Super Shorts entry to all events were free of charge.

BLACK TALENT
The Portobello Post Super Shorts International Film Festival has launched The Black Talent Award. Portobello Post, organizers of the festival felt that an award needed to be lauched to acknowledge the underrepresented achievements of filmmakers from black and ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK. The BTA is an award given to any individual of diverse heritage who has demonstrated exceptional talent through shortfilmmaking in their chosen field (Directing, Producing, Writing or cinematography). This years BTA goes to Kole Onile-ere for 'The Virus'.

ABOUT THE SUPER SHORTS FESTIVAL
Our mission is to champion the art of short films and the talent of short filmmakers. We pride ourselves in finding brilliant shorts from all over the globe.

In the last five years we've shown over 750 incredible short films, from slick 35mm shorts to weird and wonderful experimental films. We've held over 100 events, including seminars, panel discussions, workshops and screenings. In the last four years Super Shorts have awarded £13,000 ($26,000) in cash and a further £10,000 ($20,000) worth of prizes!
